We Arrived Safely

Let's just say...   my first experience pulling the camper was a long trip.  The day before we left I find the instructions for my brake controller and realize that we missed one huge step for the initail setup of the deceleration sensor so the brakes for fun.  They were ok, just not something I'm use to having to adjust. For about two hours of the three and a half hour trip it rained.  Not just rained, but poored...  I was driving 30 mph and still couldn't see anything.  It was so loud, we couldn't even hear Tucker and Jillian from the third row seat.  BUT...  all in all it was a drive and we made it there safely and in between rain storms so we were able to get everything set up and stay dry.

Emilee was ready to get out of her car seat.  Once you unbuckle her and get one arm out, she can roll all the way over and get the other arm and out stand up all in one motion. She did very well on the trip. She slept a lot of it and for the rest of it she had Taylor to entertain her.

Set up and ready.  We didn't get a lot of things out.  We arrived at about 6:30 and it started raining about 7:30...  and STORMED until about midnight. It was crazy.  The wind was blowing, the camper was shaking, the rain was so loud.  All of the kids slept right through it.  I had a horrible dream that because of the wind - the jack broke off and the camper went rolling down the incline and into the river and splashed really big like you see on TV when cars go off of into lakes.  It was crazy.

One minor problem that we had when unhooking... my tahoe was too tall.  Matt had to stand on the bumper to get out from underneath it.  That's ok though, we learned that we need a bigger block.  So we'll have one before next weekend.

Our neighbors - Matt, Renee, Cooper, Carson and Lilah.

The rest of the night was spent in the camper eating sandwiches and watch Finding Nemo because of the rain.
